Health security is one of the priorities of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The agenda of the meeting organised in Warsaw by the health committees of the Sejm and the Senate includes three issues corresponding to the Presidency’s programme – the problem of digital addiction among children and youth, preventive healthcare challenges and medicine safety. The topics of the meeting are part of the debate on the European Health Union, the agenda of which was developed in response to the threats revealed during the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim of the Health Union is to ensure better preparedness for joint response to emerging threats, in particular cross-border health crises, while fostering modern, innovative health policies that tap into the potential of new technologies.
